Yes. The Redland Apartments has two bus stops on-site served by Route 12 Athens Transit. Bus fare is included with UGA tuition, and service runs every 15 to 20 minutes from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. while classes are in session.

6. Pet Policies

Yes. The Redland Apartments is pet-friendly. All pets and animals must be disclosed and approved before move-in.

A maximum of two animals per unit is permitted. Please contact the leasing office for help reviewing the pet approval process before signing a lease.

Yes. Aggressive breeds are not permitted, including but not limited to Chow Chow, German Shepherd, Doberman Pinscher, Mastiff breeds, Staffordshire Terrier breeds, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Cane Corso, Akita, Siberian Husky, Dogo Argentino, Alaskan Malamute, Wolf-hybrid, and any mix of these breeds.

No. Exotic animals are not permitted. This includes birds such as parrots and toucans, reptiles such as snakes, rodents such as ferrets, fish tanks, and insects.

Yes. Applicants must complete a pet profile through PetScreening, regardless of whether or not they have a pet.

Yes. There is a $35 monthly pet charge and a one-time $200 pet fee per pet.

Yes. The Redland Apartments offers a pet play area and off-leash dog park, giving approved pets a dedicated place to play close to home.

7. Management, Maintenance, & Leasing

Yes. The Redland Apartments has a helpful on-site management team dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive living environment. The team assists with maintenance requests, package delivery, lease questions, resident events, and day-to-day support during office hours.

Residents should submit maintenance requests online. Our on-site maintenance team will respond to each request as quickly as possible during normal business hours.

Prospective residents may apply online or contact the leasing office for help with availability, floor plan options, and next steps.

Residents who can financially qualify for our UGA off-campus apartments on their own do not need to secure a guarantor to sign their lease. Contact our leasing office for more information about our guarantor requirements.

Monthly installments may be paid online through the Resident Portal. For convenience, online payments are preferred. The transaction fee is waived when residents link their bank account by e-check.

Monthly installments are due on the first day of each month and are considered late on the fourth day of the month. A late fee applies after that date, so residents should plan to submit all payments through the Resident Portal on time.

Monthly installments include water, trash, sewage, internet, Wi-Fi, and pest control. Electricity is billed separately, and residents receive monthly utility statements electronically through the Resident Portal.

Residents are required to carry liability insurance as a condition of the housing contract. Residents may satisfy this requirement by enrolling in the Damage Waiver Program for a monthly fee or by purchasing liability insurance from a licensed agent and submitting proof of coverage. Please contact the leasing office for the most current insurance requirements before move-in.

Electricity is billed separately from monthly installments. Utility accounts are already established in the landlord’s name, and residents receive monthly statements electronically when their email address is verified in the Resident Portal. Each statement includes a link to the Resident Portal, where residents may pay the bill online.

Housing contract length depends on when the contract is signed, but typical housing contracts are 12 months to align with the University of Georgia academic calendar.

Short-term housing contracts are not offered at this time. Please contact the leasing office to ask about any other available alternatives.

Yes. The Redland Apartments offers a contract reassignment process if plans change. Residents are responsible for finding a qualified incoming resident, completing the Assignment Intent Form, paying the assignment fee, having the incoming resident apply and be approved, reaching a zero balance, turning in keys, and completing the required unit inspection. The current resident is fully released only after the incoming resident moves in.
